Teixeira’s a Yankee
December 24, 2008Mark Teixeira has signed with the New York Yankees. Boy was my earlier prediction wrong. Here are my thoughts on the signing.

Thanks for the comments swamigp. I don’t really see the Teixeira as a dagger to the RedSox but more of just shocked the Yankees were able to come in and get him. Yeah I know the Mets won’t get Manny…I guess I’m just dreaming

Kerel, I thought he would go to Boston as well. I checked ESPN.com read the breaking news and was shocked. But I’ve come to grips with what has transpired, mainly because Lowell will rebound, and Anderson is on his way. I know Teixeira’s signing was deemed a dagger in the heart of the Red Sox, but there are countless other players that put up better number than he has (current Red Sox OF Jason Bay is similar).
The Yankees spending is despicable, but because of it, they have to win a championship this year or there will be some drastic moves. I appreciate your interest in my site, http://swamigp.wordpress.com/, and I enjoy your feedback.
