Teixeira Should Go to Boston

Posted on by Kerel Cooper

The Boston Redsox need another bat in their line-up to protect David Ortiz. So I am kind of surprised that they have yet to make a play for Mark Teixeira. Teixeira has offers from the O’s, Angels, Nationals and now it looks like the Yankees look like they will get involved in the Teixeira sweepstakes. Maybe the Yankees involvement will be enough for Boston will step up to the plate. I don’t think there is a better fit than the Boston Redsox for Mark Teixeira.

Teixeira is NOT worth the money. He is fools gold. Great player just your paying top dollar and the risk isn’t worth the return – its negative EV. I hope all those fans screaming bloody murder about A-rods salary do the same thing with Tex who will easily be getting 170 million+ 23million a year +

optionn – thanks for the comments. What would be the range in salary you would be willing to pay Teixeira?

  3. Absolutely agree.

Don’t chase the money, buddy. You’ll be on a terrible team!

Hey Andrew – thanks for the comments. Who do you think he should sign with?

  5. Boston.

I don’t want to face him on the Nats, even is he would be their best player far and away.

If he wants to win AND make money, go Boston. The Angels are solid, but can never seem to contend come playoff time.

Cool Gotcha. Yeah I think the best fit is in Boston. I doubt the Nationals have any shot at getting him.

  7. He’s a Maryland guy, and that was a big thing with him apparently.

But they’re the damned Nationals. Don’t do it man!
